　　彭昕 (莫允雯 饰) 为法务部调查局的调查官，为调查局组长李博遥 (李至正 饰) 下属。某天一家科技公司的机密专利遭人窃取，一切犯罪证据皆指向彭昕的工程师前男友刘皓然(夏腾宏 饰)，不顾组长李博遥的劝阻，彭昕着手展开调查。究竟谁才是始作俑者？真相究竟为何？随着深入事件的核心，身边每个人都显得越来越可疑，致命的危险风波一步步朝她逼近。

　　1986年，汉城亚运会期间，韩国举国上下沉浸在体育竞技的热闹氛围之中。但在位于韩国西南部的极乐岛上，却发生了惨绝人寰且扑朔迷离的连环杀人案。极乐岛位于大海中央，岛上只有17为居民，人们安居乐业，质朴风趣，尽职尽责的于成友大夫关爱大家的健康，是岛民们最为依赖的外来者。适逢70岁高龄的金哲英爷爷寿辰，岛民们聚在一起饮食歌舞，畅玩通宵。可就在次日清晨，两名电工遭人残忍杀害，岛上一时间人心惶惶。人们议论纷纷，相互猜忌。在此之后，残忍的凶手并未收手，而是展开新一轮的屠杀。

　　热爱美术的长发青年高木博史（浅野忠信 饰）遭遇一场严重车祸，虽然侥幸逃生，却完全失去了记忆，连父母是谁也完全没有印象。在此之后，他对家中的医学书产生浓厚兴趣，在父亲隆生（串田和美 饰）的暗示下，博史专心学习，考取了某医科大学。博史在学校中来去匆匆，冷漠孤立，对待女孩郁美（KIKI 饰）的追求无动于衷。某次解剖课上，一具年轻女性的尸体让博史心有触动。他头脑中记忆的闸门似乎由此开启，奇幻的影响令其去探究女尸真实的身份以及背后不为人知的秘密……
